Our last stop was the beautiful Mykonos before heading back home to Australia. After travelling for over two months, a few big nights partying we had begun to get a little run down and sick. So we couldn’t wait to just get off the ferry from IOS and check into our hotel Cavo Tagoo.
Cavo Tagoo was pure 5 star luxury, boasting the best hotel in Mykonos. Nestled on the cliff overlooking the ocean with not only breathtaking views, a turquoise infinity pool with the cutest poolside bar and luxe gym but stunning private villas each with their own infinity pools and spa baths! We have never been so spoilt, Cavo Tagoo is an experience within itself. The sun sets right in front of your villa. Lazing by the infinity pool in our robes ordering room service, sipping on champagne watching the red hues light up the sky as the sun set was honestly a dream.
We couldn’t leave Mykonos without going to its famous Paradise Beach, bustling with tourists it was a place to party and also get your tan on during the day on the sunbeds. I loved the vibes, everyone was there for a good time! We got dinner in the Mykonos town at a place called Familia I’m mentioning it because it was just so yummy, amazing service and the décor is really what caught my eye. I always have to eat in a restaurant that’s pretty or has a pretty view lol.
Mykonos I found had everything you want in an island. It has your luxury hotels, cute locally made boutiques for shopping, amazing restaurants on the water and clubs right on the beach. I would recommend hiring a ATV to get around as the taxis are pretty hopeless, we luckily had a concierge at the hotel so we had a ride into town and enjoyed walking through the picturesque white streets.
A huge thank you to Cavo Tagoo for being amazing hosts, an unbeatable experience we will never forget.
